TERROR IN GAZA.(updated)

BY K P PASWAN.

Smart relationship with the West is necessary, if even temporary respite from terror in Gaza is required. Ali Larijani a moderate Shiite, who was a leading presidential candidate in the  presidential election of Iran, made such a wonderful statement in the context of deadly fight between Israel and the Iranian backed Hamas, who occupied large part of Gaza and face eviction.

Unfortunately, he lost the election, but his views are respected, The residents in the besieged city of Gaza are facing continued shelling. They failed to celebrate the Muslims Holiday of Ramadan. US and Russia are supposed to arrive at a reasonable political deal as Iran enjoys the diplomatic support of Vladimir Putin, while US is openly siding with Israel. Glorification of terrorism by Hamas is not acceptable in modern era of complex diplomacy. There are good reasons to suspect the sudden, extraordinarily violent reigniting of the dormant Israel-Palestine conflict was plotted and triggered in Tehran.

Then there is lack of unity among the Palestine. Hamas and Mahmud Abbas, the leader of PLA, always plot against each other. Mahmud Abbas enjoys US support and is backed by other countries in the Middle East. For three decades Iran’s Revolutionary Guards has nurtured and funded HAMAS, powerful Shia party cum militia. Disciplined and ruthless, Hamas has in effect used Shia unity to gain a strong holdover policy. Politically fractious and geographically dispersed Gaza’s ruled by Hamas have no dominant militia and is dependent upon Iran for logistic support.

Critics blamed the former Jewish PM for the recent conflict. Repressive, racist policies pursued by Israel’s prime minister, are the main cause of the explosion, they insist. But Netanyahu alone cannot be blamed. Iran with a dream to impose its authority upon the Islamic countries in Central Asia is responsible for the war between two groups of people.

Netanyahu is no longer PM of Israel . In a democratic set up he had to make room for new PM who is a hardliner and is opposed to any kind of deal with Palestinians.

One thing is certain, if and when the killing finally stops, there will be plenty of blame to go around. Iran’s dominant hardliners has motive, opportunity and means. Security chiefs in Iran have been repeatedly humiliated by semi-covert Israeli attacks. Pressure to hit back in a big way has been growing. This followed the assassination of a top nuclear scientist on Iranian soil. At last CIA found a match in MOSSAD, the spy agency of Israel.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps wrongly think, that it is capable to avenge last year’s killing, in an American drone strike, of its Force commander, General Qassim Suleimani. Israel, meanwhile, has  attacked Iranian oil tankers. It regularly bombs Iranian bases and proxies in Syria.

If deepening regional polarization prevents the US from lifting sanctions – and the Vienna nuclear talks collapse, hardliners in Iran (and Israel) will count it a victory. Hardliner Iranian Ahmadinejad,  expressed his desire to run for presidency and he was hoping the tactical support of Ayatollah Khamenei. But he was out of the race and hardliner Cleric of Iran Ibrahim Raisi was elected as new president of Iran. He enjoys the support of Supreme Leader Ayatollahs Ali Khamenie.

It is not difficult to detect Iran’s hand behind the latest violence. Israel was vulnerable to a swift, large-scale “tactical” operation. The massive rocket fire launched in  May of this year, an unprecedented series of barrages, appear to be part of an Iranian-inspired plan. This is because Islamic Jihad, an Iranian proxy, is involved in the rocket fire, and because Hamas is backed by Iran. Hamas is setting the pace – and that pace may be one that is being watched or even guided from Iran.

Netanyahu critics based in France, Germany and UK, blame him, first and foremost, for a predictable disaster – the culmination, they say, of his behavior at home over many years. Through illusions, incitement, a captive media, brutal policing and discriminatory laws, Netanyahu has repressed Israel’s Palestinian citizens, preparing the ground for violent conflict.

Biden clearly has no plan. He is fighting like hell the lethal Covid19 virus and perhaps has little time to devote his experience in the recent flare off in Gaza.

By its neglect, the international community, especially Britain and EU, which had long championed Palestine’s cause, has effectively colluded in Netanyahu-Biden efforts to bury the two-state solution. A deepening sense of abandonment and injustice, compounded by the relentless, officially tolerated depredations of right-wing settlers in the West Bank and, lately, in east Jerusalem, has now pushed Palestinians back to the perilous brink last reached during the 2000 intifada. This hopeless regression marks a fundamental failure of both Israeli politics and democracy.

In four elections in the past two years, Netanyahu proved only that a majority of voters rejected him as leader. Endless divisions between the numerous opposition parties ensured his ugly, right wing populist-nationalist brand embedded itself in Israeli society. Now it’s happening again. Some Israelis claim Netanyahu  deliberately created a new national security crisis to enable him to stay in office despite the serious charges of corruption, just as he has done in the past by invoking the Messianic Cult for Iran. True or not, the upshot may be the same.

Former president of US, Trump and his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, proposed a property developer-style “deal of the century” that trashed the very idea of a Palestinian state and pretended the occupied territories problem could be solved by ignoring it, or by annexing it.

Joe Biden and his national security adviser, Jake Sullivan, thought they could park Israel-Palestine. They want to concentrate on China, the pandemic, and a huge domestic agenda. To their evident discomfort, it has come back to bite them. Biden’s usual sure touch is missing here. He clearly has no plan. And old reflexes die hard: the US blocked a UN security council statement  that was critical of Israel. Even if Biden intervenes forcefully to end the current violence, he is unlikely to succeed as he lacks appetite for the sort of  that defeated successive WhiteHouse predecessors. Taken together, as of now, these elements suggest there is little prospect of a lasting halt to bloody conflict in Gaza.

Israel's success in Gaza is in the interest of US. Israel Defence Forces are targeting selected unauthorized building and destroying them with surgical precinct .It was a week of carnage in Israel and Palestine, as Israeli airstrikes pounded Gaza and Hamas fired a near-continuous hail of rockets at Israel.

Israel has known demonstrations and violent clashes with security forces. Wartime is especially tense; in 2000, the  Israeli Arab citizens who were demonstrating at the start of the second intifada, a wound that has never healed. But since Israel’s founding, no one could recall waves of people attacking people, property and symbols, civilians on civilians, among Israeli citizens. The violence began suddenly and spread through towns around the country and it has not ended.

Tel Aviv was not a flashpoint for riots and  took no more rocket fire. In a break from rocket attacks which resumed in force, the city suddenly felt quiet on a spring day, but eerie. Last week, Israelis learned that beneath the sunny veneer, lies the menace of ethnic conflict, but only after it crashed through the surface.

Jewish and Arab mobs hunting each other down. Autocrats ruling small Sheikdoms in the middle East, sought to quantify which group, Jews or Arabs, committed more violence. But the quest for symmetry or quantification is futile. What matters is to learn how it happened that citizens rose up against one another. For Jews and for Arabs, the answers are vastly different.

Many Palestinian citizens of Israel have resorted to violent protest  in Jerusalem that precipitated the latest Israeli-Palestinian escalation. They were expressing a long history of despair. These citizens often liken themselves to African Americans: they too have been excluded from the nation since its founding. The two groups share a long history of political, social and economic marginalization that continues today. Among Palestinians in Israel, those conditions have contributed to severe problems of gangs and gun violence, with little redress from the state

IMMEDIATE CAUSES.

The deterioration of the political status of Palestinians in Israel hangs heavily over social and economic problems. There are thousands of Arab settlers who occasionally indulge in violence against the Jews, but they will never leave Israel. They are mostly living in well built houses funded by Iran, and by earning from drug trafficking and extortion. Israel has passed certain laws relating to illegal construction of buildings. So Israel ordered the demolition of illegal building so that better civic amenities might be provided to settlers. In other words Israel refused to regularize the illegal colonies which were posing danger to health programmes of the government.

The Jewish rioters live in a different reality. Jews sit at the top of Israel’s social, political and economic hierarchy. The gangs still stalking Israeli towns shouting “death to Arabs” have tremendous power. Jews from extremist settlements in the West Bank joined the riots in Gaza.

Here, too, there are underlying trends. Israel’s right-wing parties have campaigned for far greater Jewish dominance in Israel. The nationalist right wing has led and legitimized rage against Arabs, left-wingers, migrants and the media. Tension with the supreme court has deep historic roots in Israel. Many Jews go by the laws of the Torah from back then, 2,000 years ago. No cause or circumstance justifies vigilante violence. All attacks on civilians are a crime; defiling synagogues or mosques is atrocious. Perpetrators are personally responsible and must be held accountable.

Creation of an independent Palestine state is not going to solve the problems, it is so because the Arabs enjoy certain civic amenities including health related issues which shall be not available in a new nation.

FINAL THOUGHT.

It is doubtful if Jews and Arabs can live together in peace again without the cooperation of IRAN.  First step is that Iran, must not  consider itself as the leader of Islamic world and second, Israel is willing to make some compromises.  But “we must love one another” appears to be a day dream.

CHINA AND RUSSIA IN BI POLAR WORLD.(updated)

BY K P PASWAN

There are two super powers, fighting for supremacy and above all fighting for dictating the politics of the world. But there is also a former super power Russia, which cannot be overlooked in a bi polar world Bipolar political world is being led by US, Russia and China. There is not even scant scope of cold war, as the deadly nuclear weapons, owned by these three super powers are known to entire world. There is only psychological fear in the mind of all political heads of the contemporary world.

After the end of second world war, US was the only super power, threatening the entire world to toe the politics of US. In the words of the then Secretary of State of US, Faster Dulles, those who did not support US, were enemies of US. USSR under Stalin, was trying its best to challenge the mighty US and achieved parity with US in military strength, but economically USSR was so stagnated, that ultimately led to fall of USSR, creating vacuum, which was filled by China.

With the fall of USSR, mighty US remained unchallenged leader of a uni polar world, till China emerged like a monster to challenge US, both economically and militarily. USSR was fragmented and the major one known as Russia, lost not only the status of super power, but it is doubtful that Russia is even a regional power. Russia is respected, but not feared by people of the world. It is also respected, because its ability to probe the outer pace and, in all probability, China cannot match Russia, if the later tries to colonize some areas of Moon or the Mars.  Russia is hated by US, and would avail every opportunity to browbeat Russia.  Joe Biden, the US president has called Russian President Putin as a killer. In a way Russia can change the balance power if not the balance of economic power.

With rise of China as a super economic power, balance of power has shifted, not because China has achieved parity with US in military power, but because of emergence of smaller nations like Pakistan, North Korea and to some extent Israel as nuclear power, Pakistan and N Korea are poor nations in terms of GDF, but pose serious threat to international peace. Iran ruled by loathed Ayatollah Khamenei is on the threshold of acquiring nuclear weapons, which will further disturb the power equilibrium in the Middle East.

With emergence of so many nuclear power states, balance of Power has been replaced by balance of Terror. In fact, terror activities encouraged by some rich nations like Saudi Arabia and Iran are well known and can be tackled effectively, but terror activities encouraged and funded by underdeveloped countries like Pakistan and Afghanistan may cause irreparable damage and may be compared with damage caused by dropping of atom bomb on Hiroshima.

Balance of Terror. Terrorism existed in some forms from ancient times, but there was no globalization of terrorism till 1960, when terrorists replaced conventional war with guerrillas activities, first in the middle east and then in a few countries of Latin America. US, so far enjoying the status of a superpower in a uni polar international politics, resorted conventional war to crush the anti US forces, but suffered heavily as was seen in Vietnam and to some extent in Central Asia. The Jewish state Israel struggled for survival, while the lunatics and Jihadists, opposed to Jewish State indulged in terror activities, threatening US and USSR, as both these powerful nations were working in the opposite direction. USSR was openly supplying arms to the terrorists who were opposed to Israel. Middle East became the epicenter of terrorism which disturbed the Balance of Power.

While US being a super economic power sustained prolonged and high intensity war in Central Asia. USSR was reluctant to participate in the war and instead resorted to war by proxy, helping the terror groups in Central Asia and in Afghanistan. Communism did not flourish in a poor Africa, simply because the Communist USSR as a super power was unable to provide economic aid on a large scale.  On the contrary USSR failed to sell deadly weapons to African countries as these nations had no money to purchase Soviet made weapons. Moreover Colonial powers were still active in their former colonies and prevented USSR from making inroads into Africa. Balance of terror also led to the phenomenal economic growth of China, which under Mao Zedong, only exported terror in the guise of cultural revolution, but unlike USSR did not participate aggressively in the cold war. US is the main beneficiary of china’s passive desire for expansion of violent communist ideology.

ZONES OF CONFLICT. Strange things were happening in Europe between 1980 to 1990. Entire Europe was gripped by a tale of suspicion, subversion and spooks. Widespread evidence of USSR meddling in politics and universities prompted Ronald Reagan, the popular president of US to declare, that his country was facing unprecedented scale of foreign interference, German spy agency accused USSR of using social media to contact a large number of west Germans including laws makers and civil servants in the hope of gleaning information and recruiting sources. There had been reports of KGB agents trying to groom up. US under Ronald Reagan started to learn of possible intervention, but impending confrontation and showdown were averted, when KGB suspended all sinister designs and actions in West Germany.US asserted its position by declaring itself the only super power in an uni polar world.

COLLAPSE OF USSR. Collapse of USSR was inevitable. USSR was succeeded in creating a bipolar world, but it was going to affect its very  existence. USSR was not a homogeneous country. The Czar captured several small states with different religious and ethnic background and these small provinces never surrendered their distinctive identities to the whims of Communists. There are reasons and documented proofs that US and Europeans were fomenting troubles in these provinces. USSR was a space and nuclear power, but its agriculture was passing through terrifying phase of depression, and there was no cure in sight, without the help of foreign powers, which had in their possession latest technology to improve agriculture. Any way collapse of USSR witnessed the strengthening of uni polar world in which US was dictating the politics of world.

RISE OF CHINA. With the fall of USSR and birth of modern Russia, US badly needed a regime with flexible loyalty. In the case of China, it is difficult to say whether Mao Zedong was a hard core communist, but its flexible political ideology was reflected in 1971, when president Richard Nixon landed in Beijing and the golden handshake between an enemy of communism and a self-proclaimed Communist changed politics of the world, this is seen as the beginning of the end of USSR.

It is also said that somehow CIA played active role in breaking of USSR, but with or without any role played by American spy agency, USSR was determined to breakup into small states, and it certainly broke up and China emerged as a Sharp Power.

HUMILIATION OF RUSSIA. Collapse of USSR witnessed the re-emergence of uni polar world between1990 to 2100. It was now the turn of US to humiliate Russia. It may be recalled that Boris Yeltsin did not face widespread oppositions, when he disbanded communist administration. A large number of small states parted away with former USSR like Hungry, Czech, Romania, Azerbaijan and a host of others. These small countries declared themselves as independent sovereign nations, and expressed their desire to join EU and even NATO. Pathetic condition of Russian economy led to collapse of communist regimes in other parts of the world.

CHINA AND BIPOLAR POLITICS. There must not be an iota of doubt that modern China is the direct product of golden handshake between Mao and Richard Nixon in 1971. With opening of economy, China imported latest technology relating to communication, agriculture and heavy industries. It was already a nuclear power but not an economic power.

We are told that in the decades of 1980, Japan was second largest economy. In electronic, Japan displaced Philips of Netherlands. Grundig and ITI of Germany and in the auto sector Japan posed serious threat to Ford of US. But Japan was dependent upon imports of raw materials for its manufacturing activities. China and S Korea smelt the profits and virtually hijacked and stole the latest technology from Japan. China with the help of US and a united Germany was the main beneficiary. Chinese students in US were actively engaged in stealing technology and currency manipulation. The result was the resurfacing of bipolar international politics. This means that there are only two super powers, US and China standing against each other and threatening the security of the world.

China, despite of outstanding economic growth cannot claim to dictate the politics as it deems fit. China is rich in natural resources, but Russia’s natural resources are uncatchable. Globalization has exposed the political and economic nature of China, but the Communist China with a dose of liberal democracy, cannot sustain its economic prosperity for a long period. With limited natural resources it will be impossible to maintain its position as the second super power for a long period.

For natural resources China will have to court the friendship of poor countries of Africa and Latin America, these so-called poor countries are rich in natural resources and may prove as reliable sources of raw materials to China, provided, US does not involve in opposing such moves . Russia under Vladimir Putin is trying hard to attain self-sufficiency in its agriculture products and the country is spending money to create infrastructure for economic development.

Russia is also capable to put obstacles in the path of US to create ground for strengthening friendship with small  Islamic nations ruled by autocrats  in Central Asia. Russia is supplying latest missiles and other destructive weapons to Syria, Iran and even Turkey. China is silently moving in the same direction, but with limited success, it is so because China is not trusted in any corner of the world. But Russia and US are also not trusted for some different reasons.

LIMITS OF BIPOLAR WORLD. China is a super power next to US and the international politics has turned to Bi polar. China has been described as Sharp Power. But there are limitations. China stops well short of the hard power wielded through military force or economic muscle. Sharp Power works by manipulation and pressure, the result is different from cold war, less dangerous, but harder to deal with. Russia and US were sworn enemies, but China is keenly courted as trading partner by US that is investing huge sums beyond its border This naturally gives its influence which it is using to shape debate abroad in areas, where it wants to muzzle criticism such as its political system.

Sharp power wraps all that up in something altogether more sinister. It seeks to penetrate and subvert politics and media, surreptitiously promoting a positive image of the country  misrepresenting and distorting information to suppress dissent and debate, China’s sharp power has three striking characteristics. it is pervasive, it breeds self-censorship and it is hard to nail down proof of that it is the work of Chinese state.

Will China’s sharp power prove a success? Under XiJinping autocratic leadership, the political environment has changed dramatically. For the first time since Mao Zedong’s era, it has a highly visible strongman in charge. XiJinping has crushed rivals with a ruthless campaign against corruption and is perhaps the most honest politician wielding extraordinary power in contemporary world

China wants to be sure that control at home is not vulnerable to the control abroad. China’s sharp power poses conundrum to Western policymakers. Rather than learning to live with each other. China and the West might drift into sullen misapprehension. There is no question of checks and balance. N Korea and Iran can only create serious problems  in a bipolar world without any permanent solution and throwing the concept of checks and balance into dustbin.

FINAL THOUGHT. Policy makers in India, US, and the West are neither playing down the risks, nor underestimating the threat from China. Richard Nixon and Henry Kissinger had created a monster to teach a lesson to USSR and Japan, but what an irony? The monster has turned into a new variant of Frankenstein, posing a serious threat to US. But the world has learned a lesson from the collapse of USSR. Perhaps China is fearing the same fate. US will go to any extent to displace China from the position of superpower. China cannot grab Taiwan, which is effective weapon in the hands of Pentagon. China is facing threats from Uighur, Hongkong and in Tibet. There is every likelihood that in the next fifty years, China will exhaust its natural resources and Russia may re-emerge once again a new super power with some democratic ideology.

US will need Russia to prevent China from playing negative role in bi polar world .

REFUGEES AND IMMIGRANTS(updated)

BY K P PASWAN.

In recent days Refugees and Immigrants have become headlines of every leading newspapers all over the world. There is a wide difference between these two words, but both are creating political problems for every country. Before going into details as adopted by the UNO, we are constrained to say that the problems in the context of present international politics, emerged with the influx of refugees from poor and underdeveloped countries. We are also constrained to say that UNHCR has failed in is duties for which it was created, With the collapse of colonial powers, the problems of refugees were faced by every country, as the states under colonial rule faced partition, on the basis of religion, tribes and even political affiliations Sectarian conflict was another reason for people fleeing from the oppressors and seeking asylum in a different or friendly country.

IMMIGRANTS. We find two groups of immigrants, legal and illegal and of recent origin. In war torn Central Asia and Africa, there were hundred of thousands people, belonging to two religions Christians and Muslims, who fled to neighboring countries or to European countries, In the process several thousands immigrants died, but a large number of immigrants made their way to Germany and other members of EU, where they were welcomed with open arms, only to regret later as most of the immigrants were found to stick to their religion, not willing to merge or assimilate with new society. A large number of immigrants from Central Asia and Africa were half heartily welcomed by US, Canada and a few Latin American countries, where these refugees are not in a position to wage holy war against the state, due to strict rules and regulations, While in Europe we, find state recognises  religion based rules  of refugees and immigration. US and Canada do not recognize such rituals, but nevertheless some rituals are allowed to practice, but the western system of jurisprudence prevail upon religious edicts.

UNHCR. United Nations Commissioner for Refugees was set up in 1950 to deal with situation like uprising in Hungary to decolonization of Africa and Asia. Its annual budget stands at nearly 8.8 billion dollars with US and Germany main donors. With passage of time the nature and purpose of UNCHR has also changed. There is no refugees crisis in Europe as with formation of EU, there is free movement of people and UNHCR has devoting its attention to immigrants as a consequences of  wars in Central Asia and displacement of Muslims from non-Muslims countries. We have 8.8 million refugees who have fled their prosperous countries due to sectarian conflicts and corruption in government, forcing poor people to seek asylum in economically advanced countries.

But we find a problem, known to every nation, but without any solutions. No refugees are seeking asylums in an economic super power like China, but they are preferring small, but economically advanced countries like members of EU. These immigrants are also allergic to seeking shelters in India, Japan and almost all the Latin American Countries. Australia and New Zealand are geographically large countries, and need skilled workers for carrying out manufacturing activities. We find substantial number of Muslims workers, who are also skilled  and contributing to the economic growth of these two countries.

EU is beset with problems of refugees, most of the colonial powers were from modern Europe. These colonial powers exploited the poor people of the colonized countries of Africa and Asia. Germany and US are not friendly with each other. Germany has given birth to imminent scientists and philosophers, who have influenced the world, but Germany played a key role during the second world war by indulging in genocide of Jews. Germany suffered too much and it was with the help of Marshall Plan, and New Deal started by US President George S Truman, that Germany became a strong and only economic power in EU, which does not face economic slowdown beyond manageable limit. Germany under Angela Merkel welcomed refugees from Syria. Advancement in science and technology has too some extent,t eroded people’s faith in a divine power and terrorists filled the vacuum created by a declining Christianity. In one instance Switzerland preferred to pay fine instead of accepting refugees from Syria.

MASS EXODUS. Perhaps in the history of humankind, the mass exodus from East Pakistan following the Indo Pakistan war in 1975 may be cited as perfect example of refugee crisis, Nearly 100 billion people from than East Pakistan fled to neighbouring country India. Surprisingly horrendous killing of East Pakistanis by Military men from West Pakistan, was supported by some of the powerful countries of the world. When a separate  and sovereign nation, Bangladesh emerged, we are told that all the refugees went back to their country of birth as they did not fear persecution by new Govt of newly created nation. Horrendous killings were seen and credit goes to India which, despite of being threatened by super powers, stood by East Pakistan and liberated the oppressed people, we do not find any constructive role being played either by Red Cross and UNHCR.

CONFUSION. While the main cause of global migration is the search for a better economic life, concern over physical security are often the catalyst of  undertaking long, expensive and dangerous journey. The biggest hot zone for  forced migration is the eastern Mediterranean. Driven by extreme chaos and extreme violence in Syria and almost equally terrible conditions in parts of equatorial Africa, more than 5 million refugees reached Europe in 2020 .Another key zone that receives less attention is Latin America. There we see women children, and families fleeing from Salvador, Guatemala and Haiti to US. We need an international approach to deal with such challenge, ensuring that affected countries in Central America and Africa are creating consolidated efforts, whether these people qualify for status of refugees requires a team efforts. We must apply resources and technology to these challenges in creative and innovative ways.

SECURITY. When UNHCR was constituted, than there was no concern for security of the state except providing foods and shelters to the helpless refugees, but situation has changed. Now there is a real security dimension to deal with. We cannot ignore the danger that a large number of extremists with the help of some politicians have slipped in to these migrants and refugees streams as occurred in Europe and US. It is imperative to use sophisticated gadgets like bio metrics to help control the security dimension. It is all too easy to lose sight of the most critical reasons for dealing with migration humanly and judging refugees’ status fairly. The world can live up to that promise with an intelligent plan cantered on international cooperation.

Entire Europe is reeling under two type of threats, Pandemic and the Religious based extremism. Religious based terrorists have convulsed France, Netherlands, UK and to some extent Germany. France is the target of Tunisian, Moroccans and  immigrants from small countries, once controlled by Russia. These fanatics enjoy fruits of democracy and the secular value of a society unknown for sectarian violence, now a good amount of GDP is being spend on to maintain law and order in France. Germany for all practical has turned itself into an Arab country, without reducing Christians to minority. but the Syrians refugees were not welcomed by right wings political outfits  in Germany. As already stated the immigrants do not like advanced non-democratic countries like Russia, China, Japan, but they favor democratic countries which guarantees freedom to practice their religion with economic benefits. In US dirty politics is involved in welcoming immigrants just to fortify their vote banks. The Republicans who are opposed to immigrants are always at daggers hand with Democrats, who bestow favor upon these immigrants.

Rhongyas. No nation wants Rohingya as refugees. Their origin is shrouded in mystery even though they are Muslims and speak Bengal. They settled in Rakhine province in Myanmar, a peace-loving Buddhist country. These Rohingya demanded an autonomous province with separate laws based on their religion and even extra constitutional authorities. A large number of Rohingya have settled in modern Pakistan. Karachi is based in Pakistan and is filled with half a million Rohingya, but the Govt of Pakistan has not given the right of universal franchise to these Rhongyas. The entire world is blaming a poor Myanmar for crisis and there is sinister design to malign Aung Sui, a popular and respected woman politician of Myanmar for the crisis. Rhongyas  follow the culture of Bangladesh and a large number of these Rhongyas have been given temporary shelter to an island with minimum basic facilities. Bangladesh is predominantly a Muslims country but majority of Bangladeshi do not like Rohingya.

Religious Conundrum. Muslims constitute the majority  of refugees fleeing, to Europe and US. Most of the Islamic states are being ruled by autocrats or undemocratic ally elected government, which means election is held, but with massive rigging. Most of the rulers and political heads are corrupt accustomed to easy life. Out of poverty these poor people, flee to economic prosperous countries. We find a large number of Muslims refugees being sheltered in countries like Saudi Arabia.Turkey and small sheikhdoms of middle east, but these immigrants prefer European countries for economic betterment,

INDIA. India is facing refugees crisis from the day it achieved independence. India was divided on the basis of religion, with result a large number of non-Muslims migrated from West Pakistan amidst violence suffered by both Muslims and non-Muslims. Refugees from East Pakistan (now Bangla Desh) were  settled in Indian states bordering Bangladesh and Myanmar, Tripura and Assam, these refugees constitute major portion of the population, affecting original inhabitants, then there is steady flow of illegal immigrants from Bangladesh and there is no central authority to monitor the migrants and everything is left upon state, Recently Central Government brought legislation which aim at detecting unauthorized and illegal entry of migrants from Bangladesh and Myanmar.

EVALUATION. UNHCR is unable to cope with the situation, because this body was not created to deal with mass exodus of people. Multiples agencies are needed to attend different problems like terror, religion, health and economic betterment. In the case of Rohingyas, who are Muslims by religions are not welcomed anywhere in the world, but their problems are being highlighted beyond proportions, Just reverse is the case of YEZDIS of Iraq who have their  own religious belief and suffered terribly at the hands of ISIS, but UNCHR was more concerned with fleeing Syrians that the Yezidis, who were likely to be annihilated, but timely intervention by US saved the YEZDIS.In a way UNHCR has become a white elephant catering and listening to only influential nations.

SHOWDOWN AT NATANZ(Updated)

BY K P PASWAN

Jimmy carter was a failed president of mighty US, who failed in Iran and in the middle east. But his younger (he is still alive) made humiliating remark, which cannot be quoted. Democrats are generally anti-Semitic and had never been friendly with Israel. Before the outbreak of 1957 war, between Israel and Arab states, the American president assured the Jewish PM, not to worry, Americans are always with you. PM of Israel replied” Your highness by the time Americans come to our rescue, Israel would vanish” And within six days a tiny Israel proved that human race was not unkind towards Jewish state. That was the time when cold war was at its zenith and the would-be Messianic cult, Iran under Shah Reza Pahlavi was very kind to Israel.

But internationals relations are unpredictable, like a kite flying in a storm or hurricane. Political landscape in Central Asia has changed in favor of Israel and the Arab spring is frightening Arab states more than a climate change. Iran has turned itself into a Messianic cult and the man who coined the word was the former PM of Israel. Every Sunni majority state is afraid of Messianic cult. These Islamic states have under their possession of most deadly weapons provided by the West and US to protect themselves from their enemies. Iran may raise slogan: Death to US, but they are afraid of tiny Israel. There used to be an Ayatollah Khalkhali under whose order more than  five hundred pro Shah Iranians were hanged. Those hanged in the name of revolution was a very handsome Foreign Minister named Mr Aryana. The Ayatollahs was proclaimed as the Hanging Judge.  But now the world is witnessing an Ayatollah Khamenei, who despite of being loathed by majority of Iranians, means business even if it means sacrificing more Iranians just to teach a lesson to Israel.

A belligerent Ayatollah, a bellicose Hezbollah Chief living in a bunker in Lebanon, for fear of being assassinated by the agents of Mossad are not expecting help from anti sematic France, Germany and others. While Netanyahu was also not hoping positive response from a beleaguered Biden, who is  helpless in fighting the deadly virus and is also helpless before an overambitious Vice President who is praying every day to become owner of Oval Office without facing election.

Just in 1981 Israel successfully stopped Iraq under Saddam Hussein from becoming a nuclear power, Israel is engaged once again in doing dirty works. The world in general and US in particular remain mute spectators and rather encouraged lunatics and fanatics of Middle East to fight each other’s with weapons imported from US and the West.By rushing to rebuild Lebnan,Hezbollah supported by Iran were spreading terror and US failed to do anything to resist terror. Its actions proved that-US was not serious about winning the war against terror. It has succeeded in creating more Islamic militants against Israel.

Now Israel has to do the job. It is time to stop criticising the Jewish state for doing what the US should have done long ago. Answer is simple, it is beyond the capacity of the mightiest power on the earth to stop Iran from going nuclear. We know the failure of Carter to rescue the American hostage, Donald Trump was an evil genius, and he wisely discarded the plane for per-emptive strike which would have been resulted an increased belligerence in the Shiite nation. CIA and for that matter Pentagon may be equipped with latest satellite-based technology to spy the entire world, but it cannot match Mossad in preparing plan to wipe out the enemy, without leaving any proof. Israel has learned the lesson from the Munich Olympic in which German Intelligence failed to prevent the slaughter of Jewish sports person, while Golda Meir neutralized every terrorist. She neither bothered about CIA nor consulted any friendly country, which it had none.

Putin has challenged the EU by deploying its troops near the border of Ukraine, the former KGB agent knows that even if full membership of NATO is granted to Ukraine, no NATO soldiers will fight for Ukraine which is a rogue nation, disliked by many for encouraging, smuggling of deadly weapons to terrorists and Jihadist. Biden cannot hoodwink the world by saying that US is withdrawing from Afghanistan, it is a humiliating retreat and Pakistan is real winner. Taliban is likely to seize power by questionable means and turn Afghanistan in to epicenters of drug trafficking and encourage orthodox system of political structures in which there won’t be any place for non-believers, US cannot claim victory in Afghanistan, it is going to handover Afghanistan to dreaded Taliban just to counter China and Russia.

US has other important missions in other parts of the world. US is yet to build up strong firewall against China to protect Taiwan as it has badly failed to change the Chinese ambition in South China Sea. At home more people have died due to Coronavirus than the total number of casualties reported under Trump. Joe Widen promised that he would listen to doctors and scientists to contain the virus, but the doctors and virologists are not listening to Biden, resulting in heavy casualties despite of efficient vaccines developed by American pharma Vaccines have not failed but Biden has failed, looking helplessly to his VP for guidance.

NATANZ.While the world has been distracted by Afghanistan, Russia and much else. Iran is spinning Uranium Hexafluoride gas through thousand of centrifuges it has installed at the underground enrichment plant,it built secretly in NATANZ near Tehran. The plant is heavily protected by Revolutionary guards. Lives of strangers hardly matters, they are butchered like animals. It is here that the Mossad played dirty games, which was unthinkable for the American to carry out. It is a central place for centrifugal of Uranium which is essential for developing nuclear bomb.

The Israelis crossed more than one thousand kms to reach Natanz and played havoc, when NATANZ can be attacked than other Iranian place for manufacturing of nuclear arsenals have become vulnerable to attack by Mossad and this must be giving disturbed sleep to National Security Advisor J Sullivan and Secretary of Defence Austin of US. Ayatollah as usual promised revenge against the Jewish state and Mossad must be celebrating its action and would not mind reaching Ayatollahs and telling him we are here to fulfil your dream of revenge. Joe Biden is unlikely to be impressed. Islamic states are bound to celebrate the destruction of much loathed cleric in this world.

Russia reeling under economic sanctions know the games of dirty politics that it can play not to win but just for fun. But the Jewish state knows the endgame of much loathed Ayatollah and a weak Biden and it cannot remain at the mercy of hostile administration of Biden and a confused Boris Johnson.

OPTIONS. Unlike US, which has no options but to invite Iran for further talk on enrichment of Uranium in Vienna, Israel has several options which are difficult, but not impossible to carry out. Israel is going ahead with its plan, perhaps to destroy the places in Iran which have gained prominence as epicenter of enriching Uranium. US being a mightiest military power has a history of humiliating withdrawal from Korea, Vietnam and Afghanistan, it has to meet the stiff challenge of the Chinese currency manipulation. Democrats cannot share useful information with Israel pertaining to sinister design of Iran. Mossad does not believe the efficacy of CIA. It is presumed that for survival, the Jewish state has already laid plan to neutralize the distant rogue nation, but Mossad does not like to give any credit to US and its crony UK, which has become economically sick and wants to thrive on the export of deadly weapons to Sunni majority states in the middle.

Israel is also facing a lunatic Iranian Ayatollah Ali Khamenei who has openly called the critics of Hezbollah as crilings hirelings of the great Devil and boasted that success of Iranian funded Hezbollah against the Jewish state had made the group so loved, that Muslims everywhere in the world felt that they have participated in the war against Israel.

It is not clear the nature of victory of Hezbollah. Iranian strongman forgets that Egypt and Jordan long ago settled their problems with Israel. Several Muslim states have cordial relation. These American allies are hostile to Iran because the groups of corrupt Ayatollah and Mullahs provide a dangerous example of a potent non-state actors armed and supported by corrupt administration of Iran. The Biden administration has belatedly tried to rally its allies and to bolster such figures as Palestrina President Mahmoud Abbas and the prime minister of Iraq and Lebanon, problems they face is Israel whose increasingly operations against the Iranians have made it more toxic than ever. Israel and Arab moderates want to cool temperature over Palestine but disrupting of Natanz by Israel has changed the ground reality, they are convinced that in future it will be the much-hated Jewish state which would help them against Iran rather than a weak administration of Biden. Israel is far away from Iran and it is impossible for Israel to carry out a guerrilla operation without the help of other Muslims states and some disgruntled Iranians who are fed up with both the Wahhabi Salafi and terrorism being spread in the name of religion by mullahs in Iran. The fact of the matter is that Iran is a modern and prosperous country, some of the younger Iranians may side with Israel rather than Americans to get ride of corrupt clerics of Iran.

FINAL THOUGHT. In TV debate certain groups of people continue to express grudge against China and wants India to help build infrastructures in Afghanistan, With American withdrawal from Afghanistan, Indians technocrats in Afghanistan would face Taliban who don’t like the presence of Indians. Anything can happen. There are so called pro Pakistan Indians who are eager to wage war against an elected government of India and won’t mind taking the help of Pakistan. It is high time that India trust China more than a theocratic rogue nation like Pakistan and Turkey. Unlike Pakistan China is not helping terrorists’ activities in India. Every month China is expelling a large number of Pakistani students for illegal activities, but these are not debated. Rajeev Gandhi conceived a plan to destroy certain nuclear power plants in Pakistan with the help of Israel, but the plan remained unfinished. Israel’s daredevil actions in NATANZ tells us that nobody should be trusted when your adversaries in politics are playing a game where participants don’t know each other..

RELIGIOUS CONVERSION FOR SURVIVAL(updated)

By K P PASWAN.

TRUE STORY

These days a small neighboring country of India has become a major place of tourist attractions for newly wedded celebrities from India. These celebrities enjoyed multiple marriages and are hungry for publicity. As roaring economy swells the rank of rich,  such wedding has become prime occasions for India’s elites to show off their fortunes.

This concept of multi marriage has come from Europe and USA where marriage followed by divorce is common.  Any way all those latest wedded couple, who go to this small island country( Maldives) for honey moon are related with Indian cinema. I read with interest in a leading national newspaper, that a recently wedded couple went to this tourist place for honeymoon, the wife called a press conference and announced amidst much fanfare her pregnancy, it was stated in the same news paper that the actor (the wife) was already married to a person for six years and was in live relationship with her latest husband for at least one year.

DAYS IN TURKEY. Nearly three years ago I went to modern Turkey for some important works. I stayed there for six days and realized the true meaning of the name of a popular Bond movie “World is not Enough”. I had been to Turkey, when I was in a position of strength, and when the country was widely known as the sick man of Europe. Poverty was seen everywhere and the chief source of revenue was tourists from Russia. Turkey is still a member of NATO with largest number of armies. It is not exaggeration to say that the Central Asia was prevented from falling into the trap of Stalin and the Middle East was prevented from Balkanization due to strategic position occupied by Turkey and the importance, given to it by US.

Before I proceed further, an interesting story must be recalled, as this story has a link with Turkey.  A Muslim boy studied with me in India, till intermediate and got admitted in a polytechnic to study electrical engineering. After completing his study, he got a job in Hyderabad, he is a good-looking man and somehow married a girl related to the family of Nizam. I came to know this, when his uncle came to invite me to attend post wedding celebration. The girl was a graduate of an eminent university of undivided Andhra. Than one fine morning, I learned that my friend left for Egypt, as he got a well paid job in Egypt, and that his father in law left for Turkey and set up a shop somewhere in Accara in Turkey. My friend is a devout Muslim, but whether he is lunatic or communal, I do not know, but I am willing to testify that he is a fanatic Indian. In Cairo he participates, celebration like 26th Jan or 15th Aug. Once he was in trouble for beating pro Stone pelters demonstrators before Indian embassy, but the timely intervention from the embassy saved him from the clutch of anti-India police. He greets me on the occasion of Diwali and I exchanged greeting for his own festivals. He along with his Begum shares my agony, once in a year on a particular day, when I lost my life partner, when a French jumbo jet crashed  into the Atlantic, but that is a different story. He gave me an address of his father in law, settled in Turkey and promised to come to Accara, if I ever visit Turkey, as time taken by airplane between Cairo and Accara was nearly one  hour. I kept the address in a dictionary and almost forgot about it. When I planned to visit Turkey, I remembered the address and found it intact.

When I arrived in Accara, I was not expecting any body to receive me at the airport. Outside the airport, I saw a person with a plate in his hand and my name was written. He informed that one senior officer called several times from other corner of the world. I did not say anything as I was more interested to see a new Turkey, which I failed to recognize. Skyscrapers, shopping malls and modern restaurants on either side of the roads were appalling. I reached a hotel and relaxed to overcome tiresome journey. Next day I visited the office of an MNC and what a luck? I finished my job in two hours, so I had plenty of time, nearly four days to see new Turkey, under a dictator like president Erdogan, who was in China at the time of my visit.   On the 4th day of my stay in Acara, I decided to visit the shop owned and managed by my friend’s father in law. Accompanied by security man, who is a Brahmin from Garhwal and is retiring next year, I went to a travel agency, a car was hired, which wheeled me towards that shop, which was at a distance of nearly sixty kms from Accara. I entered the store, and found everything from garments to books being sold there. I was not certain whether this store still belongs to the man from India. There were at least twenty men and women searching articles of their choice.  None of the woman was wearing headscarf. In one corner of the shop, I saw a large desk displaying PAYMENT, both in English and Arabic language. A man in his early eighty was sitting. Another man in his early 30 with Turkish cap was busy furnishing receipts to the customers. I read a name displayed on his front pocket Mohiuddin. I wanted to purchase a British magazine, the book stall was  just opposite of the payment counter. I was more surprised than shocked to see the book The Satanic Verses, and Manu Smriti lying side by side for sale.

I picked up the magazine. Next moment I received call from my home, as per a notice board, for talking over mobile there was a cabin in a corner, I spoke to my younger sister in our home dialogue, put the mobile on hold and proceeded to the cabin. Mohiuddin heard a few words spoken by me, spoke to the elder man and virtually run toward me, it was not a closed cabin, I started talking to my sister and saw Mohiuddin listening to me. I had been cautioned of the the spy system, but there was nothing to be worried, I was informing my sister of my experience in Turkey and nothing else. After three minutes I was out of the cabin and saw Mohiuddin talking to the owner of the shop, who nodded and Mohiuddin came to me, I sat in an empty chair and the man asked in chaste Hindi “Sir are you from this state and district from India? Surprised, I nodded, than he asked” have you heard a carnage of poor  Dalits which happened years ago”? I again nodded, then I realized he was going to weep. He told me that his original name was Mahindra and lone survivor along with his old uncle of that carnage. That he had studied up to class ninth, managed a job in the middle east as a labor and finally reached Turkey and this shop. He converted himself from Mahindra to Mohiuddin and was earning enough to send every month sufficient money to his uncle who was still Hindu and staying with his sister. He married a local poor girl of mixed origin and his wife was also an employee in the shop, then he started praising his employer and the Indian Embassy.

I knew everything about carnage of more than one hundred poor Dalits, those who committed crimes were acquitted and mercifully a few Dalits who also bravely fought the oppressors and killed a few perpetrators, were also acquitted. It was a pathetic scene to see a lone survivor, converted for survival and taking care of his old uncle who lost every member of his family in that carnage. The man went to his employer and perhaps told him that a man from his district was in the shop. I returned to my hotel and started reading the British magazine, then my mobile started ringing, a man from Egypt shouted, "You visited my father in law's shop and did not inform me, you forgot that we studied together in college and so on” I told him that it was a casual visit and for not calling him I apologized,  He then asked about the date of my departure, which I, provided him.

On the day of departure, my security man visited me. I proceeded to the airport to board a Qatar air. Since there was nobody to see me off, I was relaxed, but it was a relaxation for a short period. As soon as I arrived at the airport, I saw my friend from Egypt along with his Begum without veil, his father in law, Mohiuddin, and a middle-aged woman, whom I saw in the shop. My friend embraced me and then blasted for not informing him. He told good news that he had become the Chief Supervisor of his glass manufacturing factory, which has a small manufacturing unit in Accara and that he visits the local unit for inspection every month along with his wife. His daughter is studying medicine in Lucknow and his one son was in a DPS in UP. There was announcement and time to say goodbye. His father in law told me, sir, my son in law, talks about  you and your family for helping my son in law to save his ancestral home from being encroached by a politician, the old man was sorry for not providing me a cup of famous Turkish coffee. Mohiuddin told me that the woman accompanying him was his wife, she greeted me with folding hand. While entering the airplane I once again turned my head and saw my well-wishers were waving their hands.

Erdogan's Contributions to economic recovery of a sick nation cannot be overestimated,if it means destroying constitutional institutions. Erdogan befriended Saudi Arabia and most probably converted himself to an ardent follower of Salafi school of thought. Saudi Arabia poured money into Turkey and economy recovery begins. Treating sickness of Turkey, it was essential to enter into EU, but the attempt was foiled. Then there was constant threat from the Kurd nationalists, who dream of a sovereign land in Turkey, it is the fear of division of Turkey that forced willy Erdogan to move closer to a corrupt regime of Pakistan. Western system of jurisprudence has not been replaced, even though several ancient structures were turned into mosques There is violent uprising by his opponents and Erdogan has adopted latest technology to punish the rebels and reward the loyal.

Uighur DILEMMA. During my brief stay in Turkey, President Erdogan was in China enjoying the lavish hospitality of another dictator. The Turkish newspapers were filled with stories committed by  China against the Uighur, but Erdogan never dared to speak to Xi Jinping.

Violence in certain parts of Turkey, is all the more horrible because, it felt so normal. Each new attack repeats the same sick liturgy. Some human right activists have accused Erdogan of forcing the opponents, long standing and hypothermia as the worst forms of torture. Erdogan has rewarded that loyalty, his sons and son in laws are holding important positions, enjoying extra constitutional authorities The Turkish capital is plastered with giant photographs of Kemal Pasha, but Erdogan enjoys more respect, he has created an efficient system of informer far better than the Saudi Intelligence service and by doing so he has certainly proved ruthlessly efficient at bringing his opponents to heel.

The current national debate over whether the Kurds need separate sovereign territory has only heightened sensitivities to question of race and identity. The Govt in Turkey seem unfazed by the possibility of Biden presidency leaning to the Kurds. Erdogan could face trouble from rivals, cheats and unsavory friends. Turkey has lost its strategic importance in a turbulent region. But he is unnerved. What is clear in Turkish politics is, that the so-called intellectuals and secularists who comprise of only 20 percentage of the votes are hated by Erdogan, while concentrating on the remaining 85% for support, moreover it is not the secularists, who will decide the history of former Ottoman empire. A nasty dictator, elected by democratic means, open sale of Satanic Verses makes it amply clear that his conversion to Wahhabi is not genuine, as he has emerged a potential rival of the desert kingdom( Saudi Arabia). He may have destroyed the western concept of secularism, but a genuine secularism is seen everywhere in Turkey.

AND FINAL WORDS.

Life is to be taken the way it is, Love marriage and Love Jihad are two different things. I read in a research paper that the girls from an upper caste, predominate in interfaith marriages, if these are simply love marriages, ignore it, these types of love marriages are happening all over the world, if these are love jihad,  than investigate it. A poor man like Mohiuddin converted for survival, I remember, when Mohiuddin was telling me, whether he should visit his old uncle and sister, the man from Garhwal, himself a Brahmin told him “You will be killed not for being a Dalit but for being a convert”. It is difficult to disagree with him.

POLITICAL IDEOLOGY IN INDIA(updated)

BY K P PASWAN.

India is a land of diversity. The diversity was united by the British, when India was under colonial rule. The legendary PM Indira Gandhi was of different opinion. According to her, there was a feeling of oneness in the country from ancient times, when people from south visited holy places in north India. for conducting religious rituals and similarly people from north used to visit south for conducting pilgrimage. The late PM was right as the sense of belonging to one country is prevailing from time immemorial. But that sense of belonging does not mean the emergence of modern united India. We find that from ancient time, India was divided into countless small kingdoms ruled by influential local chiefs. Some of them were master of huge population and called himself as king. These kings always fought for expansion of their kingdom. Some of the kings were highlighted by their victories over their rivals. We also find that these kings, barring exceptions took welfare measures and earned their names in history, while a few others, known for their violence are still demonized. Conducting religious related rituals were confined to a few groups of people belonging mostly to priestly classes and upper strata of society, except the Untouchables (SHUDDERS) who were not allowed to make pilgrimage to holy places. It is left over the historians to describe in details the prevalence of political philosophy in ancient India.

 UNITED INDIA.

It is wrong to say that the foreign invaders especially the Mugfuls founded a united India. They controlled large swath of modern India, but the far away provinces enjoyed greater autonomy, so long the head of these provinces paid taxes in time. East India company brought along with its different political system. As the East India Co, expanded its tentacles, mostly by defeating or bribing the local chieftains, these political systems were put to test. In the course of time, the Mughal dynasty virtually came end and, in their place, a large number of small and medium size kingdoms, submitted to the whims of the East India Company, and these kingdoms were forced to adopt western ways of life  The East India company  also introduced western  concept of economic and political ideas. Thus, we see paradigm shift in economic policy. Parliamentary system of democracy based on universal franchise.

Colonial powers in USA brought a large number of Blacks to the US from Africa and they were maltreated, if these Blacks failed to serve their masters as per their wishes. So worst system of slavery started in modern USA. Every president before Abraham Lincoln patronized racial discrimination and this attitude of anti-Black feeling still prevails in USA. It will be not an exaggeration to say that every sovereign country in the world is following the policy of Divide and Rule. In India caste-based discrimination prevails from the days, Vern ashram(Cast) system was introduced and discrimination against Dalits turned into a philosophy of divide and rule. The colonial power has ended, but discs not prevailing in any colonial power. The concept of a sovereign United India did not emerge until East India company was taken over by the crown.

The British brought hundreds of local small kingdoms, under a federal structure and introduced western system of education, English being the language of instruction, some major cities like Calcutta, Bombay, Delhi and Madras become the centers of higher education and barring exceptions, colleges and research institutes were located in prominent cities, The Christians missionaries, encouraged English system of education in remote areas with a view to spread Christianity and to some extent they succeeded. In absence of a central authority, the Hindus were benefited as the Muslims had their own Madrasa based education. But they were unable to deter the religious lunatics from carrying away their nefarious activities against other religions. The British is being accused of dividing the society for their own benefit, but this was happening everywhere in contemporary world and continues with greater zeal in modern world.

Discrimination based on caste system still persist. There is no difference between the words NIGGER being used for the Blacks in US and DALITS in India for the Shudras.

Coming to political ideology in an independent India, we find very interesting development, Communists were strong force in pre and post independent India. Political landscape in India  changed to great extent.Political heavyweights in different states developed their own undefined political ideology.

After first general election in India we find a good number of political parties based on different political ideology, it is difficult to navigate, but the Communists maintained strong presence in parliament. The first general election was fought under the shadow of a free India and there was only one leader, who guided the political and economic character of free India, with great skill and it was impossible to carve out a distinctive political philosophy by any political party. With the spread of education, people all over India. become aware of disparity in equitable distribution of income. Mixed economy as championed by the Govt in power was not generating enough money and importation of wheat and other food grains, saved mass starvation. With new technology at their hands, western countries were making tremendous industrial progress. Spread of technical education in India needed modern industries, in absence of which, we witnessed large scale migration of engineers and doctors to other countries. In fact, this type of migration started long ago.

After 1980 Indian economy was opened and we see marked decline in left wing philosophy, even though Communism maintained their presence felt in Parliament, because of their large following in two states, West Bengal and Kerala. Narendra Modi enjoying absolute majority, has been a blessing, soaking up all the attention and outrage as his main critic stumbled about trying to find out comfort zone. Sonia Gandhi has been a blessing too,  yes she has been drawing big crowds.  While mostly taking standard liberal reforms positions, that Narendra Modi can sand down and make acceptable to moderates among his critics.

Secularism is not the binding force in India. Any political stalwart may be most secular in the morning and by way of defection, he may become most communal in the evening, after enjoying sound sleep, next morning, he announces his defection, to a party of atheists, every politician is an opportunist and devotee of several deities, but these deities don’t bind them together.

NO POLITICAL IDEOLOGY.

Right now, every state and union territory have its own political ideology, which is based upon caste considerations and regionalism. This political ideology is neither left, right and centrist. Some countries are politically stable, because the government exercises tight control over of the countries’ politics and freedom of speech by restricting the flow of information, available to those, who live within country, but with openness, the government loosens control their grip and they tend to become less stable. The result is gross misuse of the freedom of speech. Fundamental rights turn into right to kill Dalits and other weaker section of society with immunity. Absence of a charismatic leader with a project to unite India is proof, that something positive cannot emerge from the darkest nationalist turmoil. The history of India before the advent of British is a series of wars trying to dominate others. Some of the politicians (rarest among rare) has a voice and a role to play, but this role cannot be played and voice is not even listened to.

In natural resources a few states are abundant in natural resources but are not properly distributed. What is most surprising is that every party swear by welfare of every section of society. Some of the leaders declare themselves as followers of Dr Lohia, whose political philosophy is not known widely as this  is not taught in any school. Before the introduction of Electronic Voting Machine, there was different system of casting votes and Dalits in most cases, were not allowed to cast their vote., Booth capturing was very common. Now booth capture is not necessary. Just allow unauthorized foreigners to come for vote. There is a highly educated and much respected lady politician, who incite encroachments from a neighboring country to come in groups to vote for her political party without fear and stay here to enjoy  hospitality. Than there is a politician in power in South India, who has been accused of encouraging gold smuggling. He calls himself a true devotee of Marx. but he allows his own supporters to pray for his success by special offerings to a particular deity, who is popular in every corner of this country But story does not end here, several politicians in power have issued executive order, instructing bureaucrats to greet the criminals (Politicians) and show proper respect to them.

As most of  elected representatives are criminal and corrupt, so in reality, it is the corruption which bind them together and this is the biggest contribution to the world by the biggest democracy.

FINAL WORDS.In India, no political party can claim to have political ideology of distinctiveness, They fight election on the basis of caste and creed and resort to corruption to amass wealth, disproportionate to their income.
